Hunt regions
Each tier of the Hunt is a region with its own road, its own four monsters and its own NPC.
You travel on by clearing a region's last stage. The region's NPC greets you when you first arrive, explains what lives there, then waits at the Hub's campfire with a word or two of advice (tap them for another). When you clear the region's last stage, they celebrate and hand over a reward. Dungeon rooms and Expeditions also borrow the monsters of the region that matches their level.
Tier 0: Greenwood Frontier
The village woods and the east road, where wolves come down in the cold and boars, brigands and poachers lie in wait.
Livia, Widow of the east road
Tier I: Mirefen Marshes
A marsh that swallows carts whole. Legion deserters hide in the reeds and bog witches keep what lives in the black water.
Corvina, Ferrywoman of the Mirefen
Tier II: Thornbarrow Heath
Kings lie under the burial mounds, and raiders from the north come with war hounds and bear-waking druids.
Tullus, Old scout of the barrows
Tier III: Frostfang Pass
Snow all year and a wind like a blade. Marauders hold the ledges, griffins nest above the road, and yes, those are elephants.
Varro, Guide of the high pass
Tier IV: Arcadian Groves
It looks gentle here. It isn't: satyrs and maenads dance travellers to death, centaurs guard the old oaks.
Phaedra, Keeper of the grove shrine
Tier V: Sunscar Frontier
Three days to water in any direction. Nomad raiders, scorpions the size of carts, singing lamia and a basilisk.
Zarah, Caravan master
Tier VI: Stonegaze Isles
The men standing on the rocks were once a crew. Harpies, gorgon cultists and statues that walk when you turn your back.
Doros, Last fisherman of the isles
Tier VII: Vulcan's Anvil
A hollow mountain full of fire, taken by cyclopes, salamanders, bronze machines and a three-headed guardian.
Aulus, Overseer of the forge mines
Tier VIII: Via Sepulcra
The road the Empire lined with its dead. Lost legionaries still march it, and the centurions remember orders, not mercy.
Sabina, Keeper of the tombs
Tier IX: Shores of Avernus
The lake that is the door to the underworld, and the door stands open. The road ends here.
Deiphobe, Seeress of Avernus
