Dungeons
Dungeons are short runs of rooms ending in a boss. Each one pays a different resource, and each resource feeds a system. They open with the Imperial Treasury on the Stage 0-4 clear.
Which dungeon feeds what
| Dungeon | Main pay | Feeds |
|---|---|---|
| Imperial Treasury | Pets | |
| Legion Foundry | Combat skills (LUDUS) | |
| Frontier Bastion | Weekly Expedition | |
| Sealed Scriptorium | Lucia the Augur | |
| The four Sanctums | Morta the Soulbinder and Doctrines | |
| Foundry, Bastion, Scriptorium, Sanctums | Faber the Smith | |
| Every dungeon (first clears) | Faber the Smith (top upgrades) |
Every dungeon also pays gold. Forge Materials only drop once Faber the Smith is open (Stage V-1). Some dungeons sometimes add a bonus Enchantment Playbook to a won run.
How a run works
- Open a dungeon and press CHALLENGE to fight its next stage. It costs a key.
- The run walks through rooms of monsters, from easy to hard, and ends with the dungeon's boss. Early stages have one room; later ones have more, and from chapter V an animal joins every room.
- Health carries through the whole run: there is no healing at the doors.
- Only a win spends a key. A lost run, or one you LEAVE before a fight has ended it, gives the key back.
- A stage's first win also pays a Seal.
- A stage you have won becomes your SWEEP: spend a key to collect that stage's pay at once, without fighting (SWEEP ALL uses every key). Sweeps never pay the bonus Playbook, Sanctum gear or the first-clear Seal.
- Dungeons cost no Energy and pay no XP.
Stages
Every dungeon has 49 stages, spelled like the Hunt's: chapters 0 to X (0-1, 0-2 ... X-5). A dungeon's first stage stands at the level it opens at and its last at level 100. A stage above your level is locked until you reach it ("STAGE VI-4 / LEVEL 63").
Keys
Each of the four Neutral dungeons has its own keys: 2 a day (at midnight UTC),
holding up to 4.
The four Sanctums share Affinity Keys: 4 a day,
holding up to 8. A dungeon card shows FULL when its keys are at the cap, so spend them before the next midnight.
